Capture team joins Biking 4 Butterfly Children in 2021

Fresh air, mountains, friends, family, partners... and all this for a good cause!

For many years Capture has been supporting the charity organisation for Butterfly Children. This year, just like in the past 7 years, Capture was sponsoring the campaign "Biking 4 Butterfly Children", which took place on 12 September 2021 in the context of the World Games of Mountain Biking in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Salzburg.

The B4BC team consists of mountain bike enthusiasts of IT companies and their business partners, employees and friends – and Capture is part of it. Over the past 14 years, initiator and organizer Andreas Engelhardt succeeded in forming one of the largest fundraising campaigns for the "butterfly children". Our B4BC team collects donations for the research of Epidermolysis bullosa (ER = life-threatening genetic disorders that affect the skin). Thanks to this initiative, a total of 270,000 euros have been raised over the years.

In Austria, there are about 500 butterfly children whose skin is as vulnerable as the wings of a butterfly. At the slightest stress, painful blisters and wounds form. Research and development to alleviate and cure this disease depend on private donations. This year, we contributed to raising 6,600 EUR to their cause.

Ain't no mountain high enough, not when it comes to helping, not in business and not on the mountain either. And this attitude is what we pass on to the next generation too - this year being the first one where our kids' team was larger than the adult team!
