Lead Accountant - Group level

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Coordinate internal group accounting needs with external accountants in respective countries, following Local GAAP requirements in the end-to-end activities at Capture Group (Hungary, Austria, Germany, Switzerland).
• Be the person responsible for creating a financial P&L and BS in close coordination with the finance team.
• Motivate and encourage co-workers towards continuous successful on-time quarterly and annual closings and be the proactive key person in driving, making, preparing and supporting the creation of financial reports, accruals and reconciliations and consolidation.
• Reconciliation and monitoring of the general ledger and its sub ledgers.
• Review the daily work of co-workers, making system entries, making tax calculations and performance of the 3rd party service providers (accounting and payroll) to make on time closings and reporting.
• Keeping an ongoing contact with 3rd party service providers (accounting and payroll), auditors, and authorities.
• Proactive cooperation with Tax advisors and Finance Director.
• Participation in projects (process optimization, process improvements initiatives, be the leader type of person, I can do approach is really welcomed).
• Participation in audit preparation and implementing policies, systems and processes.
• Job experience with one of the big 4 is welcomed.
• Reporting to Finance Director.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE, OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

• University/College degree in accounting and certified accountant qualification
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a multinational environment
• Hungarian Accounting Standard knowledge, Financial Statements (Standalone and Consolidated) and CIT preparation experience
• Solid computer skills including MS Office applications (MS Excel)
• Attention to detail while keeping the big picture continuously in mind  
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
• Interpersonal skills & teamwork   
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a cross-functional environment to consistently meet deadlines
• High-level of independence and pro-activity
• Fluent English and Hungarian, German is an advantage.
