We are looking for developers to join our team for Application support for global Gas & Power Marketing function. Group supports Energy Trading & Risk Management systems.

YOUR TASKS

✓ Develops and maintains programs for a client/server environment on Windows or Unix/Linux), using languages such as Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, C++, MS Access, SQL, etc.

✓ Work with IT Business and IT process owner to refine specifications

✓ Use TFS Work Items and TFS Test Case Management to manage and steward development activities

✓ Follow and enhance to SRM development best practices

✓ Learn and apply UI/UX concepts to form design and functionality

✓ Develop estimates and manage all aspects of the build including design, development, testing, QA, UAT and migration to production and source code management

✓ Assist Run team in break-fix support for forms when required

✓ Computing Environment: Windows Server 2008; Microsoft SQL Server 2008; BMC Service Request Management (SRM) tools; BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) tools; additional software to be added as part of EMIT 2.0

✓ IT base support & SWI/project development using vendor platforms Allegro ETRM enterprise suite and other connecting systems Microsoft-centric toolset

✓ Support .Net-based middleware components, many external interfaces including ICE, Trayport, Efetnet, EDIGas, and internal interfaces to SAP IPES, NAPES, and others

✓ Troubleshooting and developing new functionality in C#.Net, MS-SQL and Allegro

✓ Base support – Responding to service requests & problem tickets for global customer support, following standard change management processes Small Work Items – Enhancing existing systems and/or building new applications or interfaces per customer requirements Projects – Large software upgrades or new application scoping, requirements definition, technical design, development / coding, testing, and transition to support

YOUR PROFILE

✓ Required Technical Skills: Agile practices (as life cycle methodologies); BMC Remedy Suite (ITSM); EMIT Problem and Change Management Processes; Embedded database code (stored procedures, triggers, etc.); General MS Office tools; General MS Sharepoint; General MS Windows OS overview; MS SQL; Testing; Allegro; Application Support

✓ Desired Technical Skills: VB.NET and ASP.NET; Web Service Development (e.g. .NET); Web Application Development (e.g. .NET); UC4 Batch; UI/UX Design; Windows Client Development (e.g. Forms / WPF); Application Support and Development in C#; Microsoft BI; Experience in troubleshooting technical applications issues, data analysis and implementation of fixes/new functionality

✓ 3+ years technical experience developing / supporting applications which use an object-oriented programming language (e.g. .NET, Java)

✓ Prior experience with developing or working with ITIL apps

✓ Prior experience designing / developing applications from scratch (i.e. new applications / functionality)

✓ Strong object-oriented design and development background

✓ Prior experience with Agile

✓ Prior experience writing system integrations / interfaces

✓ Prior experience using or supporting BMC Remedy tools

✓ Prior experience interfacing with vendor support resources

✓ Prior experience working with projects to address technical requirements, researching / addressing technical issues, and completing support related project deliverables
